Almost four decades in the making, Dave Seaman’s very first artist album ‘Mirrorball Sleaze’ has finally been completed and will arrive on his own Selador imprint on 13th November. Featuring a heady mix of both new and old recordings, all created, revised and / or re-purposed especially for this project, this assemblage represents the best of Dave’s sprawling oeuvre, joining the dots between the some of his most celebrated past glories right up to the present day, where he remains on the frontline of electronic club music. A culmination of a life lived and breathed in the trenches of Acid House.

The album is proceeded by a string of single releases which began with a collection of reworks of his acclaimed ‘Nightfalls’ production from 2015 that features the distinctive vocal of Gaelle Adisson from Ananda Project’s ‘Cascades Of Colour’. Alongside Dave’s brand new breaks fuelled ‘Sunrise Mix’, the release also came with new interpretations from Italian maestro Cioz, acclaimed New Zealand bred Berlin based, producer Dilby and Istanbul born, Barcelona native, rising star Elif.  It’s a truly international flavoured presentation that perfectly positions both the depth and breadth of the project.

The second single, the album’s the title track, ‘Mirrorball Sleaze’ featured two versions from Dave, a beatless electronic album mix and a club rework. Further remixes were also supplied by celebrated German duo Frankey & Sandrino and Techno legend, Christian Smith.

And then a third single will follow on October 23rd which is an eagerly anticipated rework of Polaroid’s ‘So Damn Beautiful’ which first came to prominence on Dave’s Global Underground compilation from Buenos Aires back in 1999. If you’ve been lucky enough to catch Dave live over the past few months, you will no doubt have heard this wonderful new contemporary take on an undeniable dancefloor classic.
