Ibiza Spotlight Playlist Takeover

Ahead of our first Seladoria party of the summer in Ibiza, I was asked to share my favourite current tracks with the Ibiza Spotlight crew, and was only too happy to oblige. So here they are in all their strobe lit glory. Enjoy!

When it comes to the changing landscape of dance music, Dave Seaman has seen and done it all. Music fashion trends come and go, but the Leeds-born DJ, producer and record label owner has always stayed faithful to his sound and championed the underground.

His label Selador has become a modern-day Progressive House reference point. It’s a home for a fresh wave of Prog House artists such as Just Her, Timanti and Oona Dahl but has also released music by the likes of Hernán Cattáneo, Gai Barone and Anthony Pappa.

The label has spawned its own party off-shot, Seladoria – and this summer it’s coming to Akasha as part of the club’s summer series. To give us a preview of the night, we’ve invited Dave to take control of our aux lead and take over our Melodic Techno playlist.

It’s time to follow the rabbit down the cellar door…

1. Levi David & Abigail Bailey ‘A Better Place’ [Selador]

Huge vocal anthem featuring the wonderful dulcet tones of Abigail Bailey. A top notch summer ear worm if ever there was one.

2. Frankey & Sandrino feat. Charlotte Riby ‘Memories’ [Innervisions]

The German duo return to the mighty Innervisions with a stand out tune for summer 2024 with a rather tasty flip side too, entitled ‘Blue Flash’. Two winners for the price of one. I just got my vinyl copy 😉

3. Dave Seaman ‘YoHo’ [Selador]

My most recent release for Selador that has been a staple in my sets for several months now. There’s also a fantastic James Harcourt remix too that Quivver & I featured on our recent Balance Mix compilation.

4. Moeaike ‘Bo Bom’ (Alan Dixon Remix) [Madorasindahouse]

A burgeoning production duo out of Italy dropping on the Madorasindahouse label with the man like Alan Dixon sprinkling a little remix magic over proceedings. Very tasty.

5. Niconé & Dirty Doering ‘Last Exit Space’ (Hyenah Remix) [Katermukke]

With a rather large nod and a wink to Adamski’s Killer, if this doesn’t make you feel good I don’t know what will!

6. Changed Faces & Harry Diamond ‘Exodus’ (Dave Seaman Remix) [Sudbeat]

Was a pleasure to remix this, the 250th release on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat label. Summer breezing.

7. Sasha & Super Flu ‘Astra’ [Last Night On Earth]

Had so many people asking what this is when I’ve played it out at my gigs recently. Proper dream team at work here.

8. Inámo ‘My Joy, My Peace, My Strength’ [Flight Of The Navigator]

An absolute pearler of a vocal tune by New York producer Inámo. Just wait for the final drop!

9. Enamour feat. AllKnight ‘Can’t Stay’ [Rose Avenue]

Enamour’s star is very much in the ascendency right now and shining particularly brightly on this beauty on Rüfüs Du Sol’s label.

10. Aikon & Aidentique ‘Choise’ [Selador]

Another ‘choice’ cut from Selador’s recent Showcase 19 compilation from a collaboration of Ukrainian producers making lots of noise in all the right places. Consider yourselves informed 😉
